enchanted indoor garden dinner party with 30 friends

We were introduced to our client via Susan of Fantasy Florals. She was a long time friend and fellow florist with our client, who was celebrating a milestone birthday with a dinner with girlfriends at home. Her dream was to have her dinner in her gardens, but with her yard under construction and the time of year, it just wasn't possible.

She really wanted the experience to feel like you were dining in a greenhouse! She envisioned vines trailing from the ceiling, yet she didn't want to hang anything from the ceiling...so during a brainstorm & design session I noticed two tall ornate floor laps tucked behind a couch..."What if we put the lamps up on the tables and cover them with moss and vines and use the shades as a base to create a canopy?" Bingo - my idea worked fantastic and the lamps' height really helped the room feel like you were inside an enchanted garden. Sometimes the easiest, and some what wacky ideas, create the most intriguing decor and interest for an event design.

To date, this is truly one of our most favorite designs and we think we nailed the execution and we're so grateful for the opportunities that come our way!
